Ghanaian highlife legend, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba dies at 60.

Daddy Lumba, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu started his musical career in 1980 at the of 16. He was the leader of the Juaben Senior High School Choir from 1983 to 1984 and later formed the Lumba Brothers group with friends Yaw, Kwabena and his girlfriend Theresa Abebrese. His breakthrough came with the hit song ‘Yeeye Aka Akwantuo Mu’ which is part of their debut album released in 1989. This song catapultrd him to fame and established his career as a highlife musician.

After his success of his hit song, Daddy Lumba’s musical career soared, he became known for his unique highlife and afrobeat blend. This captivated audiences across Ghana and beyond.
